Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! The QR Lord is completely free to use. All features including customization, logo upload, and downloads are available at no cost. No registration required.

No, QR codes themselves don't expire. However, if you're linking to a URL, make sure that URL remains active. We delete QR code images from our servers after 24 hours for privacy, but your downloaded codes work forever.

We recommend at least 2cm x 2cm (0.8 x 0.8 inches) for reliable scanning. Larger is better, especially if the code will be scanned from a distance. For billboards, make it proportionally larger.

The QR codes generated here are static and don't include tracking. To track scans, use a URL shortener with analytics (like Bitly) for URL-based QR codes, then generate the QR code with that shortened link.

  • PNG: Best for most uses - digital and print
  • SVG: Vector format, perfect for scaling and professional printing
  • PDF: Ready for immediate professional printing

Common issues:
  • Ensure good lighting when scanning
  • Check color contrast (dark on light works best)
  • Make sure the code is large enough
  • Don't cover too much with a logo (max 30%)
  • Ensure the code isn't distorted or curved
  • Test with multiple QR code scanner apps
